As always, the protection of our patients and staff is our highest priority. We continue to maintain strict safety protocols on site, including physical distancing, hand hygiene and wearing of masks. Please read the information below carefully prior to your visit to Mount Hospital.

Please note that, in line with WA Department of Health guidelines, Mount Hospital will be welcoming one nominated visitor per patient between the hours of 5-7pm. Limited exemptions apply for approved essential visitors, for example;

  • Emergency scenarios
  • Palliative care patients
  • A nominated parent or guardian of a child
  • A nominated parent, guardian or carer of a patient with a disability

Please note that visitors must be approved as essential by hospital management prior to attending Mount Hospital. Prospective visitors should submit their request Mount.visitorrestrictions@healthscope.com.au

  • Visitors to high risk areas (Oncology, Respiratory ward, ICU, CCU and Haematology) will be required to provide evidence of a self-administered negative RAT test, conducted on the same day as the visit.
  • All visitors must wear a surgical mask and complete screening upon entry, including proof of vaccination and checking in via QR code.

We understand the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your support. Our highest priority is to keep all patients as safe as possible during this unprecedented time.

Please speak to our friendly staff who will support regular digital drop-ins so you can keep in touch with your loved one by telephone or device.

Mount Hospital has over 200 secure paid parking bays available for patients and visitors close to the Hospital entrance as well as additional spaces between the two medical centres located next door.

Parking is accessible from Mounts Bay Road.

A patient drop off and pick up zone is available at the main entrance. Parking in this zone is restricted to five minutes.

We have designated disabled bays located on the east side of the main hospital entrance.

Vehicles must display a valid blue disabled permit and must park in designated disabled bays.

Wheelchairs can be borrowed from the hospital. Speak to our front reception staff who will arrange with volunteers to bring a wheelchair, subject to availability.

We are conveniently situated within the CBD free transit zone and are easily accessible by public bus.

The 102 and 107 route operates frequently every day both from and to the Esplanade Bus station.

The bus stop is directly outside reception for buses to the Esplanade Bus station, and across the road when coming from the city. For further information please refer to the Transperth website


Automatic Teller Machine

An ATM is located in the foyer of 146 Mounts Bay Road, next to the lifts and Hudsons Coffee.

Meals

Mount Hospital prides itself on providing nutritional and flavoursome meals. Visitor meals can be purchased. Please speak to someone at the nurses station to order a visitor meal.

There are certain risks involved when bringing food into the hospital. If you wish to bring food products into the hospital please talk to someone at the nurses station or click here to view the Hospital guidelines on bringing food in.

Hudson’s Coffee Shop is located next to the front entrance of the hospital and offers hot beverages and fresh salads and sandwiches.

Mount Hospital provides care for many patients from rural areas, from time to time relatives will require local accommodation whilst their loved one is in hospital.
