Excitement is building as the Mount Private Hospital redevelops and improves its service delivery to the community, with new facilities and the latest technology.
The last of three upgraded Cardiac Catheter Laboratories (Cath Lab) opened mid 2023, marking the completion of the first stage in a major redevelopment of the hospital.
The second and largest redevelopment stage is much anticipated, with the Mount Hospital transforming the hospital’s existing infrastructure and clinical facilities for improved services and a better patient experience.
New facilities:
-
Private patient accommodation - Renovations to wards on level 2
We are upgrading our wards to all single patient rooms with ensuite and offering our patients the private experience they prefer.
-
New Day of surgery admissions area
New patient admissions on Level 1. A comfortable new environment for patients ahead of surgery. Whether in bed or in a recliner, patients have their own TV and private space.
-
Newly built main hospital entrance and reception
A newly constructed Main reception will be centrally located to warmly welcome patients and visitors. With a concierge on hand to direct patients and visitors to the right area.
New technology
Cardiology
The upgrade to the Cath Labs means that Mount cardiologists now have the latest cardiac imaging equipment and cardiac technology at their fingertips to treat cardiac patients in Perth.
Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic surgery
New technology for Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic spine surgery is also making its way to the Mount Hospital to support the growing need in patient care under these specialty areas. More news to come on this.
The Mount hospital will remain open during the redevelopment project with a program of works which has been staggered to ensure there is minimal impact to patients and families accessing the hospital.
